Time for an update

I am long overdue for an update. Here's what's going on with us...

BRIAN~ It's his busy time of year at work which means I am basically a single mom during the week. Hence the reason for very few blog updates these days.

ME~ After a semi short "giving birth hiatus," I am getting back into acting. What does this mean? I am back in my weekly acting class, doing workshops (meeting casting directors) and unfortunately I need to start looking for a new agent. I left my agent a few months ago (time for a change) but that means I desperately need a new one. The way this business works is that in order to go on auditions (book jobs) you've got to HAVE representation. It's a catch 22 though... In order to get good representation you've got to have a good resume. (book jobs) I HATE the business side of SHOWBIZ. It's a miracle that anyone ever actual gets work out here. For reals!

Along with acting, I wrote a 30 minute sitcom pilot last year with a good friend. Not sure what will come of our show but it certainly was a fun and creative experience. My writing partner just had a baby 2 weeks ago. I'm looking forward to writing something new with her soon!

I guess what I'm saying is that when I'm not changing diapers, feeding babies, driving kids to school, taking out the trash, doing laundry, paying bills etc... I am still sort of trying to do something creative with my 5 seconds of free time.

Oh yeah, I did co-chair/plan our Young Life Gala again this year. It was last weekend. Thanks to everyone who supported us. It was a huge success!

DESMOND~ Mr. Des is LOVING preschool. I'm amazed at how much his speech has improved. He's all boy and full speed ahead. As I've said before there is never a dull moment with him!

CHAR CHAR- I seems to call her "Char Char" more than "Charlie" these days. We'll see what sticks. She is 6 1/2 months. She is so sweet and such an easy baby. She smiles all the time, she's a great sleeper and is now sitting up! My only issue with her is that she's not the easiest baby to feed. She was a terrible nurser. So, she became a full time formula baby around 6 weeks. It took me months and months to get her to eat semi-well from the bottle. Now she kind of eats a few bites of oatmeal in the morning. She's such a girl when it comes to food. She truly isn't that interested in eating which is the opposite of Des.

Now for some fun pic updates!

Every month Desmond's class learns a new memory verse. Here is Desmond saying Septembers memory verse.

The other night when I was done giving Desmond a bath, I took out the plug to drain the water turned around to look at Charlie and when I turned back around Desmond was laying flat on his stomach with his tongue down the drain. GROSS! I had to get a picture of this for my family.

Charlie has found her tongue. She is ALWAYS sticking it out. YES, she's still bald!

She can finally "sit up" in the double stroller. It makes trips to the park much easier.

She loves to swing.

Of course, Des loves to push her on the swing.

Yay! Finally sitting up without assistance!
